Udupi: A state-of-the-art gymnasium was officially inaugurated at IMJ Institutions in Moodlakatte by chairman Siddharth J Shetty, who was joined by enthusiastic students during the ceremony.
The newly launched fitness centre features a wide array of advanced workout equipment, including a cable crossover station, pec deck fly machine, leg press, and lat pulldown machine, among others. Designed to support the evolving fitness goals of students, the facility aims to promote physical well-being alongside academic excellence.
Dr R Naveen and Praveen Kharvi, physical directors at the institution, shared that structured fitness training will be provided under the supervision of skilled instructors. They also highlighted that separate time slots have been planned for male and female students to ensure comfort and accessibility for all.
Students expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, welcoming the gym as a valuable addition to campus life.
The launch event saw the presence of key academic leaders, including Dr Ramakrishna Hegde (Brand Building Director), Dr Melwyn D’Souza (MIT Vice Principal), Dr Pratibha M Patel (IMJIS Principal), Roopashree (Vice Principal, Nursing College), and Dr Padmacharan Swain (Dean, Allied Health Sciences), along with students and faculty.
This initiative reflects the institution’s growing focus on holistic development, encouraging a balance between mental and physical fitness.
