MP Capt Brijesh Chowta has invited young men and women to join ‘Captain’s Paltan,’ an internship program aimed at developing Dakshina Kannada. “With youthful zest, energy, fresh thoughts, and a futuristic vision, together let us craft a new chapter of progress in our region,” the MP said on X.
Candidates should be graduates or above, aged 21-28 years as of June 1, 2024. The three-month program requires proficiency in written and spoken Kannada, English, and knowledge of Hindi. Interested candidates can reach out at catchupwithcaptain@gmail.com or call 7411575057.
In addition to launching this program, Chowta met Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal in New Delhi. They discussed the development of the New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) and the construction of a dedicated jetty for Lakshadweep, with infrastructure facilities for cargo and a cruise terminal at Old Mangalore Port under the Sagarmala initiative.
