Mangaluru: Member of Parliament Kota Srinivasa Poojary launched a strong critique against the Congress-led Karnataka government, accusing it of underperformance and misgovernance over the past two years.

Addressing a press conference in Mangaluru, Poojary alleged that the current state administration has completely collapsed and is resorting to blaming the central government to cover up its own inefficiencies. “Not a single achievement stands out in their two-year tenure,” he remarked.

He also took aim at Minister Santosh Lad, calling his remarks on religion, criticisms of the Centre, and comments on the Prime Minister’s attire “irresponsible and immature.” Poojary said such behaviour reflects poorly on the state’s leadership.

Highlighting policy shortcomings, he cited the failure of the much-publicized Aquatic Life Project, which was aimed at supplying clean drinking water, labelling it as another collapsed promise. He further alleged that the government has been unjust to Scheduled Tribes, failing to address their concerns effectively.

Poojary warned that the people of Karnataka are observing these developments closely and will respond through democratic means.

Joining him at the press meet were MLA Dr Y. Bharath Shetty, MLA Rajesh Naik, BJP district president Satish Kumpala, MLC Kishore Kumar Botyadi, and leader Pratap Singh.

The leaders collectively demanded accountability from the Congress regime and urged the public to question the government’s lack of progress on key issues.
