Mangaluru: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, organised a free artificial limb distribution camp on March 23, 2026, at the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Hall.
The initiative aimed at supporting persons with disabilities by providing assistive devices that enhance mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Support extended to 36 beneficiaries
A total of 36 beneficiaries were provided with customised artificial limbs manufactured by FIT WELL. The beneficiaries were identified in coordination with the Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens, ensuring that the support reached those most in need.

The camp served as a significant step towards inclusive welfare and rehabilitation.
Presence of officials and stakeholders
The programme was conducted in the presence of several dignitaries, including Ms. Jayalakshmi, Deputy Secretary, Zilla Panchayat; Mr. Manish Nayak, Officer from the Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled; Mr. Prashanth Baliga, Chief General Manager (Administration), MRPL; Mr. Keshav Patali of MRPL; and Mr. Kishore, Proprietor of FIT WELL.

The dignitaries collectively distributed the assistive devices to the beneficiaries during the event.

Details of assistive devices distributed
The assistive devices distributed included:
- Below Knee Prosthesis Silicone Socket with Single Axis Foot – 33 units
- Above Knee Silicone Liner with Ranger Foot – 6 units
- Above Elbow Hand – 2 units
- Bilateral Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis – 1 unit
These devices are expected to significantly improve mobility and daily functioning for the beneficiaries.
