Mangaluru: The MRPL Employees Union (MEU), in collaboration with Wenlock Hospital and co-sponsored by HDFC Bank Ltd., hosted a blood donation camp at the MRPL Employees Recreation Centre (MERC). The event was held as a tribute to Late Capt. M.V. Pranjal (Shaurya Chakra – Posthumous), recognising his brave service to the nation.

The camp, conducted from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, was inaugurated by esteemed dignitaries, including:

During the inauguration, Shri Krishna Hegde emphasised the noble act of blood donation. Shri Mukesh B.A. paid tribute to Martyr Pranjal, highlighting his inspiring legacy. Mr. Antony extended gratitude to the MRPL family for their consistent support of blood donation drives, which have greatly benefited the needy.

The camp saw 122 donors contributing, reflecting the enthusiastic spirit and commitment of MRPL employees to social causes. MEU office bearers—Yuvaraja M.K., Ramdas, Gururaj Rao, Roshan Pereira, and Theertharaj—played crucial roles in the event’s success.
