Pushparaja Shetty, a 45-year-old newspaper distributor from Mangaluru, tragically passed away on Thursday after sustaining severe injuries from a bee attack. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning while he was walking at Kenjaru Taangadi, located under the Bajpe town panchayat limits.
Despite being rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention, Pushparaja could not survive the attack. He had been a familiar figure in the Porkodi area, where he was affectionately known as ‘Boggu.’ Pushparaja was well-regarded for his commitment to delivering newspapers on foot to every household, rain or shine. His generosity was also widely acknowledged—he would often use his own earnings to distribute sweets to schoolchildren on Independence Day and contributed to local community welfare.
Pushparaja, who remained unmarried, is survived by three brothers and one sister. His untimely death has left the community in mourning, as he was a beloved figure known for his selflessness and dedication.
