Bantwal— The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Bantwal Assembly Constituency Committee celebrated academic excellence with its ‘Nammura Hemme’ programme, held at Ambedkar Bhavan, B C Road, on Sunday evening. The event honoured meritorious SSLC and PUC students from the 2024–25 academic year.

Presiding over the function, former minister B Ramanath Rai emphasised the importance of upholding constitutional values during student life. He noted that NSUI promotes unity, inclusivity, and mutual respect among communities, and that many leaders began their journeys through student activism in NSUI.

The event witnessed the presence of several key leaders, including KPCC secretary M S Muhammad, NSUI state vice president Farooq Bayabe, district president Suhan Alva, Youth Congress state secretary Suraiyya Anjum, and many local Congress leaders and well-wishers who congratulated the students on their achievements.

NSUI Bantwal president Muhammad Safwan welcomed the guests, while vice president Srivatsa Kalladka delivered the vote of thanks. The event was anchored by journalist Latif Neralakatte.

Event coordination was handled by NSUI office-bearers Nihal Nehrunagar, Siddiq Kodapadavu, Savad Vamadapadavu, Salman Bollai, Pavan Bollai, Najeeb Manchi, Sadiq Talittanunji, and Jamsheed Moolarapatna.

The programme highlighted the NSUI’s commitment to encouraging academic excellence while nurturing socially conscious youth leadership.
