The Mangaluru City Police have issued a look out notice seeking public assistance in tracing a woman who has been missing since May 25, 2018.
The woman, identified as Jameela (35), wife of Shekhabb, is a resident of Manjanady village in Mangaluru taluk. According to police sources, Jameela left her home around 4 pm on May 25, 2018, telling her family that she was heading to Mangaluru city. However, she never returned home.
Following her disappearance, a complaint was filed by her brother Shoukath Ali, a resident of Badyaru, Deralakatte, Ullal taluk, leading to the registration of a missing person case at Konaje Police Station.
Description of the missing woman
Police described Jameela as being around 5 feet 6 inches tall, of medium build, with a wheatish complexion and an oval face. She has studied up to class 7 and is fluent in Tulu, Kannada, Malayalam, Byari, and Hindi.
At the time of her disappearance, she was last seen wearing a black burqa.
Public urged to share information
Authorities have urged members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating Jameela.
