Puttur: A remarkable video showing Shobhakka, a courageous woman, capturing a massive Indian Rock Python along the Puttur-Sullia border in Dakshina Kannada district has captivated the internet. Shobhakka fearlessly handled the python, a feat that left many onlookers in awe.

The Indian Rock Python, locally known as “Koli Marle” in Tulu, is a common species in the coastal regions. The viral video shows Shobhakka confidently handling the large python, grabbing it with ease and placing it in a gunny bag, showcasing a bravery that impressed many.

Despite a crowd gathered to see the snake, none of the bystanders dared to help. Even Shobhakka’s friend Basheer, who she asked to hold the gunny bag, was hesitant. However, Shobhakka calmly took charge, managed to secure the python herself, and later released it safely into the forest.
