Mangaluru: The Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, will celebrate its platinum jubilee with a series of events from September 13 to 15, marking 75 years of service since its establishment in 1951. The celebrations will be graced by Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj, vice-president of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, who will arrive from the organisation’s headquarters in Kolkata on September 12.

Inauguration of ‘Prajna 2025’

On September 13, Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj will inaugurate Prajna 2025, a workshop specially organised for students of professional courses. The event will be held at the Swami Vivekananda Sabhabhavan in Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru.

The workshop aims to provide guidance, values-based orientation, and motivation to youth preparing for their careers, in line with the Mission’s focus on education and character building.

New facilities and Amrita Varsha launch

On September 14, the seer will inaugurate the newly constructed Amrita Bhavan, built to commemorate the Mission’s 75th year. He will also inaugurate new classrooms of the Vivekananda Coaching Centre, which has been instrumental in providing affordable coaching to students.

The platinum jubilee year-long celebrations, titled Amrita Varsha, will also be formally launched on the same day. This event will mark the beginning of a series of programmes planned under the Amrita Mahotsava banner.
