In a bold stride towards futuristic learning, Carmel School CBSE, Kotekar, conducted a trailblazing Artificial Intelligence (AI) orientation on May 26, designed to enhance teaching through intelligent technology. The program brought together around 60 members, including school leaders, instructors, and tech coordinators, to explore the transformative role of AI in education.
The event opened with a soulful invocation led by Demcy, followed by a cordial welcome from Disha, setting a thoughtful tone. The occasion was honored by Sr Pramila AC, principal, and Sr Anitha AC, vice principal, who emphasized the school’s commitment to digital innovation.
The core learning sessions were spearheaded by Fr Anil Ivan Fernandes, media specialist and AI trainer at Canara Communication Centre, and Leo Victor Zalki, a leading AI strategist and entrepreneur at Oxidane Enviro LLP. Both experts, certified by Google and Oracle, brought vast experience in AI application for education.
Educators dived into hands-on exercises involving tools such as image and speech recognition, supported by simplified tutorials. Topics like AI ethics, data-driven teaching, personalized learning, and content automation kept the participants engaged throughout.
The speakers stressed that AI complements educators, boosting productivity while keeping classrooms interactive and learner-focused. The workshop also featured AI toolkits for all attendees, special prizes for ten lucky participants, and collaborative feedback rounds.
The event wrapped up with a heartfelt thank-you note by Rakshitha and smooth coordination by anchor Savitha. The workshop was hailed as a valuable, inspiring leap toward smarter classrooms.
