The temperature in Dakshina Kannada district has started climbing once again. Although the region saw cloudy skies on Tuesday, the overall heat remained intense.

Mangaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 33.4°C, which is 0.8°C lower than usual. However, the minimum temperature rose to 25.6°C, showing an increase of 1.6°C compared to the average. The meteorological department has forecasted a continued mix of hot conditions with intermittent clouds in the coming days.

During the 24-hour period leading up to 8:30 am on Tuesday, light rainfall was observed in parts of the southern interior region. Malemahadeshwara Betta received 2 cm of rain, while HD Kote, Bandipur, Hunsur, and Maddur each recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

On the other hand, the coastal and northern interior regions remained dry, with no notable fluctuations in temperatures. Both the maximum and minimum temperatures in these areas stayed relatively steady.

Kalaburagi experienced the highest temperature in the state, reaching 41.2°C, while Vijayapura recorded the lowest at 18°C. Despite scattered rain, the heat continues to affect the region, raising concerns about the ongoing weather patterns.
