A fully loaded truck carrying rubber sheets from a godown at Gurumpu on Aletty Road went out of control and rolled downhill into a roadside ditch on Friday. Luckily, no vehicles or pedestrians were on the main road at the time, preventing a potential disaster.
The incident occurred while the driver was securing the tarpaulin on the truck. As it started moving, he quickly jumped to safety, avoiding injury.
If the truck had moved further beyond the trench, it could have caused significant damage to nearby homes.
