SACAA Alumni Day 2025 celebrated with grandeur

Mangaluru: The St. Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA) hosted its eagerly awaited Alumni Day on 12th January 2025, drawing a crowd of over 600 alumni. The event was a heartwarming celebration of the shared legacy and achievements of the college’s former students.

Vision for the future

During his address, Fr. Melwin Pinto, Rector of St. Aloysius Institutions, unveiled the college’s ambitious Rs. 150-crore expansion plan, which includes:

A state-of-the-art 1,500-seater auditorium
A modern indoor sports complex

Fr. Pinto proudly highlighted the college’s ranking among the top 60 universities in India, reaffirming its commitment to excellence.

Honouring achievements

Fr. Praveen Martis, Principal, for being named the best principal among Jesuit colleges in India
Prof. Edmund Frank for representing India at the World Union of Jesuit Alumni in Tokyo, Japan
Prof. Alwyn D’Sa for being recognised as the most innovative professor among Jesuit institutions in India
