Mangaluru: The final day of Synergia 2024 at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management on 9th November saw an array of engaging events, including an air show, HackNight Hackathon, a panel discussion, and a closing ceremony that celebrated students’ accomplishments.
The HackNight Hackathon, organised by the Sahyadri Open Source Community (SOSC), featured diverse participants, with female developers comprising 40% of teams. Mentors from prominent companies, including Amrth Shenava (Flashmates), Abhishek Poojary and Jaison Dias (Niveus Solutions), and Samrath Sudesh Acharya (KPMG), provided valuable guidance in coding and project development. Judged by industry experts such as Pranav Durai (Stanford University) and Mahesh Nayak U (Tiny Prism Labs), participants refined their projects with insightful feedback.
The panel discussion, led by CEO Mr. Johnson, included distinguished speakers like Mr. Govindraj, an authority in space exploration; Ms. Padma Sri Alva from MResults; Mr. Srikanth Arimanithaya of Machani Group; and Mr. Sumith Chauhan of Mphasis Foundation. The panel offered inspiration and guidance on subjects ranging from space research to social responsibility.
The closing ceremony celebrated student achievements, with Mr. Govindraj encouraging students to pursue careers in space research and highlighting upcoming missions like Gaganyaan. Ms. Padma Sri Alva urged students to lead with purpose, and Mr. Srikanth Arimanithaya and Mr. Sumith Chauhan inspired future entrepreneurs. The event concluded with CEO Mr. Johnson honouring winners and acknowledging the support of Mphasis Foundation and sponsors, leaving participants motivated to continue their projects.
