Mangaluru: Savitha Salian of Mangaluru will assume charge as the District Director of District 121 of Toastmasters International on July 1, 2024.
This is the first time a member of a club in Mangaluru has taken on this responsibility, which is the highest position in the Toastmasters district hierarchy.
She is a member of the Winners Club Toastmasters, Port Town Advanced Toastmasters and Let’s Debate Toastmasters in the city.
She was unanimously chosen for the post during the district elections held in May.

Toastmasters District 121, spanning the states of Kerala and Karnataka, was chartered in 2020. It has 174 clubs across 10 divisions, with over 3,600 members.
Savitha Salian is a homemaker, soft skills trainer and English language trainer. She has previously served the district as Club Growth Director and Programme Quality Director.
Her tenure as District Director will be from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
She will lead the entire district team of 58 office bearers, comprising an 8-member executive committee, 10 division directors, and 40 area directors.
