A school van from Janatha PU College, Hemmady, crashed into an electric pole near Thekkatte bus stand on Thursday morning, leaving the driver seriously injured. The accident, caused by overspeeding, occurred when the driver attempted to avoid a collision with a motorbike and lost control of the vehicle. Fortunately, no children were inside the van at the time. The crash also damaged a hi-mast pole in the area.
