
Schoolgirl Killed in Tragic Auto-Rickshaw and Pickup Collision in Mangaluru
Mangaluru: A 11-year-old schoolgirl, Ayisha Wahiba, lost her life in a fatal accident involving an auto-rickshaw and a pickup truck in Kallapade, Belma village. The accident occurred early Thursday morning when Ayisha, along with other schoolchildren, was en route to Netaji Subhashchandra Bose Government Higher Primary School in Deralakatte.
The auto-rickshaw, which was transporting several children from Madaka to their school, collided with a speeding pickup truck near Kallapade. Witnesses reported that the truck driver was driving recklessly when it hit the auto-rickshaw head-on, severely damaging the vehicle. Ayisha Wahiba, the daughter of Mohammed B Monu and Munshia from Badakabailu, sustained critical injuries. Despite efforts to rush her to a nearby hospital, she tragically succumbed to her injuries on the way.
Four other students, who were also in the auto-rickshaw, sustained minor injuries in the crash. The auto-rickshaw driver was injured as well. All of the injured were taken to K S Hegde Hospital in Deralakatte for medical treatment.
