Mangaluru – Police have arrested six individuals in connection with an incident of obstructing police duty near Dharmasthala Pangala Cross on August 6, 2025. The case, registered at Dharmasthala Police Station under Crime No. 47/2025, was investigated promptly.

The arrested accused have been identified as:

  1. Padmaprasad (32), resident of Dharmasthala

  • Suhas (22), resident of Dharmasthala

  • Khalandar Puttumonu (42), resident of Ujire

  • Chethan (21), resident of Kalenja

  • Shashidhar (30), resident of Dharmasthala

  • Guruprasad (19), resident of Kalmanja

    • According to police sources, all six were apprehended and produced before the Hon’ble Court on August 9, 2025. The court subsequently granted them interim bail and ordered their release.

    Authorities have not disclosed further details about the nature of the obstruction or the circumstances that led to the confrontation. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
