
St Agnes NCC Hosts Inspiring Session on Armed Forces Careers
Mangaluru: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) of St Agnes College (Autonomous) organized an enlightening session on career opportunities and life in the Armed Forces on February 14.
The session featured Air Force veterans as resource speakers, including Group Captain Daniel Victor, a Vishisht Seva Medal awardee, and Wing Commander Arijit Ghosh, Penguin author of “Air Warriors”, along with Renji, a cricketer. They were escorted by NCC cadets as they shared their experiences.
Wing Cdr Arijit Ghosh inspired the cadets by discussing the SSB (Services Selection Board) process and narrating his life journey in the Defence forces. He emphasized that a career in the Armed Forces fosters dignity, human values, self-confidence, and respect.
The event was graced by Sr Dr M Venissa AC, principal of St Agnes College, Paulose, chairman of Global TV, Capt Gayathri BK, ANO of the Army wing, and Flying Officer Dr Hithakshi, ANO of the Air wing. The NCC cadets and students actively engaged in the session.
The program was smoothly conducted, with Cdt Anisha serving as the compère.
