Mangaluru: Fr Melwin J Pinto SJ, Pro-Chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service in the field of education and Jesuit ministry.


Fr Melwin J Pinto, SJ, (62/44), went to his eternal abode this evening at 4.00 PM in Fr. Muller’s Hospital, (10 April, 2026) in Mangaluru. The funeral Mass will be at Divine Mercy Church, FRH at 03.30 PM on Monday, 13 April, 2026, and public viewing will be in St Aloysius College, Mangaluru from 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM, followed by burial in Jesuit Cemetery, Mangaluru.
