St Aloysius (deemed-to-be university), located in Mangaluru, is set to introduce four full-time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses under its newly formed School of Engineering, starting in the 2025–26 academic session.
Speaking at a press briefing in Mangaluru on Monday, Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis, the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, announced that the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has sanctioned the launch of the following programmes: B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, B.Tech in Information Science and Engineering, and B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Each course will admit 60 students annually.
These academic offerings will be available at the main campus situated at Light House Hill, in the heart of Mangaluru.
Highlighting infrastructure readiness, Rev. Dr. Martis mentioned that a seven-floor academic block is close to completion. The facility is designed to accommodate advanced laboratories, interactive classrooms, research and innovation hubs, and dynamic collaborative zones to enhance hands-on learning.
The School of Engineering will be managed by a team of seasoned educators and experts devoted to shaping future innovators and tech professionals. He emphasized that the course design was developed in alignment with industry standards and employer expectations.
With a distinguished legacy spanning 145 years, St Aloysius continues to expand its footprint in modern, industry-aligned education.
