St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, in collaboration with Young Indians (CII), will organize a human chain to raise awareness about the national Child Helpline Number – 1098. This event will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 11:00 am as part of SJEC’s commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.
In a symbolic gesture, 1,098 students from SJEC will line both sides of the road from Vamanjoor Junction to PiliKula Circle, forming a human chain that represents the 1098 helpline number. This helpline serves as an essential support resource for children in distress, offering immediate assistance for those in need.
The human chain aims to bring attention to the importance of the Child Helpline, encouraging the community to support child welfare efforts and prioritize the protection of children. SJEC and Young Indians (CII) hope that this initiative will foster awareness and a safer environment for children across the region.
This event highlights the joint efforts of SJEC and Young Indians (CII) to drive positive societal change and engage young minds in meaningful community service. The college invites the public to join and support this impactful event, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding our children’s well-being.
