Mangaluru: St Lawrence Church Shrine, Bondel, has announced the programme for its Annual Feast 2026, inviting the faithful to participate in nine days of prayer, spiritual reflection and festive celebrations beginning August 1.
The annual feast, centred on the theme inspired by Romans 12:12 – “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” – will culminate in the Feast of St Lawrence on August 10, drawing devotees from Mangaluru and neighbouring parishes.
Nine-day Novena from August 1
The celebrations will commence on Saturday, August 1, with the Novena to St Lawrence, followed by daily Holy Masses, special reflections and themed liturgical celebrations until August 9.
Each day of the Novena will focus on different spiritual themes and intentions, with priests from various dioceses leading the Eucharistic celebrations and delivering the homilies.
Grand feast day on August 10
The Feast of St Lawrence will be celebrated on Monday, August 10, with solemn festive Masses, special prayers and a large gathering of devotees at the shrine.
The parish has also planned cultural and community activities, making the annual feast a celebration of faith, fellowship and unity among parishioners and pilgrims.
