In an unsettling incident reported at the Konaje police station limits on Sunday evening, two individuals were allegedly stabbed, while another was assaulted. The victims, Harish (41) and Nandakumar (24) from Innoli, along with Krishna Kumar, faced the brunt of the altercation. City Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal provided details, stating that the confrontation occurred in front of a bar in Boliyar.
According to Agrawal, the situation escalated when three BJP supporters passed by Boliyar Masjid, reportedly shouting slogans. This action prompted a group of 20-25 youths from another community to pursue them on bikes. The confrontation culminated in front of a bar situated approximately two kilometers from the masjid, where an altercation erupted.
The accused allegedly engaged in physical violence, resulting in three individuals being assaulted, with two sustaining stab wounds. While one victim is recuperating and out of danger, the other is undergoing surgery at KS Hegde Hospital. The incident occurred amidst the celebrations surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony.
