A student organization from Kombettu Government PU College has made a formal appeal to both the college principal and the Puttur city police to suspend a girl student who allegedly made a false accusation of stabbing against a male student from the same institution. The organization has also warned of potential protests if their demand for the student’s suspension is not met. Additionally, they are calling for action against those who circulated the boy’s photo on social media, which they believe has severely tarnished his reputation.

The controversy began when the girl, who was initially admitted to the hospital, claimed that the boy had attacked her with a knife. She has since been discharged and returned home. The student organization, along with members of various other college groups in Puttur, held a meeting to denounce the false accusation. They emphasized the need for justice and accountability, stressing that the spread of the boy’s image online has caused significant harm to his reputation.

Authorities are expected to investigate the matter thoroughly. The girl is anticipated to be interrogated to uncover the truth behind the accusation. The police have committed to submitting a detailed report to the court once their investigation is complete.
