Sullia: Sullia police have arrested two people in connection with an incident in which a motorcycle parked inside a garage was allegedly set on fire by miscreants at Ambetadka in Sullia Kasaba village.

The incident occurred during the night of August 26. Following the incident, the police registered a case and launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the act.

The arrested accused have been identified as Dayananda, 30, a resident of Aivarnadu in Sullia, and Darshanaraju, 23, a resident of Sullia Kasaba.

Case registered in Sullia

Based on a complaint regarding the incident, Sullia police registered a case under Crime No. 120/2026.

The case was registered under Section 326(g) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.

Police subsequently conducted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire and worked to establish the involvement of the suspects.

Two arrested after investigation

Following the investigation, police apprehended Dayananda and Darshanaraju in connection with the case.

The two accused were subsequently produced before the court. The court remanded both of them to judicial custody.

Police are continuing the investigation into the incident and the circumstances that led to the motorcycle being set on fire inside the garage.
