Mangaluru: Two of Dakshina Kannada’s beloved beaches — Tannirbhavi Main Beach and Sasihithlu Beach — are on the verge of a significant transformation as the Dakshina Kannada District Tourism Development Committee (DTDC) invites e-tenders for their comprehensive development and long-term beach management.

Tourism department deputy director (in-charge) Dileep Kumar said the initiative, planned under a 10-year public-private partnership (PPP) model, aims to enhance safety, infrastructure, and tourist experiences. Prospective operators must obtain Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance for new constructions.
