Trader Robbed in Kallapu: Four Arrested, Cash Recovered
Ullal police have apprehended four individuals in connection with the robbery of a trader near Kallapu Global Market. The arrested suspects have been identified as Siddique (25), Rizwan (20), Azharuddin (26), and Mohammed Naufal (28), hailing from Bantwal, Maripalla, Farangipete, and Pane Mangalore, respectively.
The incident occurred on March 17, when the gang allegedly waylaid Majeed, a vegetable trader from Belagavi. Using an unregistered vehicle, they intercepted him near Kallapu and forcefully took Rs 2 lakh in cash.
Following a detailed investigation, law enforcement officers tracked down the accused and placed them under arrest. The stolen money, along with the Swift car used in the crime, has been seized.
Authorities continue to probe the case further to determine if the group is linked to other similar offenses. The police have urged traders to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
