In a tragic incident at a bull-taming event (Kobbari Hori) in Chigalli, Mundgod, 22-year-old Parameshwar Siddappa Harijan lost his life after being gored by a rampaging bull on Saturday. The event, held as part of the Deepavali festivities, drew thousands of spectators who lined the path to watch the traditional spectacle.

During the event, a bull broke loose and struck Parameshwar, inflicting severe injuries. Despite immediate efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Following this incident, another bull-taming event planned for later in the evening in Mundgod town was canceled as a mark of respect.
