A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday within the Belthangady Traffic police station limits, resulting in the death of KM Ibrahim. According to a complaint filed by Mohammad Tanveer from Kadirudhyavara village, the incident took place while he and his elder brother Hakeem were standing near the Didupe gram panchayat office in Malavantige village, Beltangady.
At that time, a car driven by Mohammad Ashraf was moving away from the office after dropping off Ibrahim and another individual, Adram. Ashraf allegedly reversed the car and then suddenly drove forward recklessly, hitting KM Ibrahim, who was standing on the road. The impact caused Ibrahim to fall forward, and the driver reportedly moved the car again, reversing before driving forward once more, severely injuring Ibrahim.
Ibrahim sustained significant injuries, including a head injury, deep bleeding on his right shoulder, and a nasal injury. After receiving initial treatment at a nearby hospital, he was transferred to a private hospital in Mangaluru, where he later succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered at the Beltangady Traffic police station regarding the incident.
