Tragic Autorickshaw Accident Claims Driver’s Life in Konaje
A devastating accident in Kalkar, Konaje, claimed the life of autorickshaw driver Narayana Gatti, 50, on the evening of Sunday, November 24.
Narayana, a resident of Manjanthadka in Kumble, had hired a private autorickshaw to attend a relative’s birthday celebration near Kolya Adka. After dropping off relatives at Kalkar, he was returning home when the tragic incident occurred.
The autorickshaw’s brakes reportedly failed while descending a slope in Kalkar, causing it to crash into a tree. While Narayana lost his life on the spot, a woman, her son, and another passenger sustained minor injuries.
Narayana is survived by his wife and two sons. A case has been filed at the Mangaluru South traffic police station, and further investigations are underway.
