In a heartbreaking accident, a six-year-old boy named Shazin lost his life on the spot, while four others, including his parents and siblings, were injured in a road accident near Gadiyara, Mani, Vittal, on Saturday, December 28.

The accident occurred when an Eicher truck collided with the bike being ridden by Abdul Saleem, a resident of Mura, near Navoor in Beltangady taluk. Saleem was traveling with his wife and three children when the tragic collision took place.

The young boy, Shazin, succumbed to his injuries instantly. His body has been moved to the Bantwal government hospital for post-mortem procedures. Meanwhile, Abdul Saleem, his wife, and their two other children, who sustained injuries in the accident, are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

This tragic accident has left the community in shock, highlighting the urgent need for improved road safety measures. Authorities are likely to investigate the circumstances leading to this devastating collision.
