Mangaluru: The much-anticipated Tulu movie “Dharmachavadi” hit theatres across the coastal belt with an enthusiastic reception. Produced by Nadubail Jagadish Amin and directed by Nitin Rai Kukkavalli Nulialu, the film has been released under the banner of Krishnavani Pictures at Bharat Cinemas, Bharat Mall.
Former MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, who inaugurated the release by lighting the traditional lamp, praised the team and said, “Director Nitin Rai Kukkavalli, my good friend, made his debut with a film that resonated with Tulu audiences. ‘Dharmachavadi,’ his second venture, highlights the deep-rooted devotion of Tulu culture, and I urge the community to support it wholeheartedly.”
The film delves into themes of divine worship and cultural tradition, aiming to resonate with the spiritual essence of Tulu Nadu.
Prominent personalities graced the occasion, including renowned theatre director Vijay Kumar Kodiyal Bail, Dr. Devdas Kapikad, Prakash Pandeshwar, Tulu Film Producers’ Association President R. Dhanraj, CATCA President Lanchulal KS, Tulu Sahitya Academy President Taranath Gatti, Tulu Nadu Rakshana Vedike President Yogeesh Shetty Jeppu, and former CATCA president Mohan Koppala.
Notable actors and supporters such as Rupesh Shetty, Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli, Swaraj Shetty, Ismail Mudushedde, N.R.K. Vishwanath, Tamma Laxman, Chandrahas Alva, along with the cast and crew, attended the celebration.
