In a heartbreaking accident on the Mangalore-Bangalore highway late Wednesday night, two brothers from Alto Porvorim, Ross and Darryl Vaze, tragically lost their lives. The collision occurred between a Fortuner SUV and a lorry, also leaving two others injured.
The four men were traveling from Goa to Coimbatore in the Fortuner when the accident took place. Reports indicate that the lorry collided with the left side of the vehicle, where Ross and Darryl were seated, causing fatal injuries.
The driver of the SUV, Nathan Vaze (Darryl’s son), and another passenger, Neil Faria, a Mapusa-based entrepreneur, sustained only minor injuries. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported the victims to a nearby hospital, but Ross and Darryl were declared dead upon arrival.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the tragic collision.
