In Mangaluru, two individuals from Kerala were apprehended on Tuesday for unlawfully possessing firearms. The police intercepted the duo while they were traveling from Ullal. Mohammad Asghar (26), a resident of Kadambar, and Abdul Nisar K (29), residing in Moodambail, both natives of Manjeswaram, were taken into custody. They were driving a black Verna car through Mangaluru when they were intercepted.

During the arrest, two pistols and two mobile phones were confiscated from them. Karnataka Police have initiated further investigation into the matter.

As per Karnataka Police, Mohammad Asghar has a criminal record and has been involved in multiple criminal cases. He is accused in an attempted murder case and a hit-and-run incident, both falling under the jurisdiction of Manjeshwaram police. Additionally, Asghar has been implicated in a case related to the illegal sale of marijuana in Baiyappanahalli.
