
Two Killed in Tragic House Demolition Accident on Jail Road
A fatal accident claimed the lives of two individuals during the demolition of an old house on Jail Road, Thursday, September 12. The victims were identified as James Samuel Jattanna, the owner of the house, and Edwin Herald Maben, his neighbor and relative.
The unfortunate incident occurred when a concrete beam collapsed unexpectedly, crushing both men to death. They were reportedly on-site when the structure gave way, trapping them beneath the heavy debris.
Local authorities, including the Urva police, promptly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. A case has been lodged, and Dhananjay, identified as the main accused in the First Information Report (FIR), has been taken into custody. The specifics of his involvement in the demolition mishap remain under scrutiny as police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the collapse.
