Mangaluru: Speaker UT Khader emphasized the need for a thorough assessment of the proposal to establish the Beary Development Corporation, highlighting its potential benefits and challenges. Addressing a district-level conference of the Beary-speaking community organized by the Akhila Bharata Beary Mahasabha at Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall, Khader suggested forming an expert committee to evaluate its impact.

He expressed concerns over inefficiencies in some existing government corporations, citing issues like inadequate leadership and funding. “The Beary Development Corporation must not face similar setbacks,” Khader stated. He also noted that the Minorities Development Corporation already provides schemes for Beary Muslims, urging a detailed analysis to ensure the new corporation doesn’t dilute existing benefits.

Praising the Beary community for their hardworking and self-reliant nature, Khader encouraged the youth to uphold the legacy of their elders and continue contributing to societal progress. He applauded their dedication during emergencies, which has earned them widespread respect.

Khader also underscored the importance of education in community development, advocating for meticulous record-keeping of student achievements in SSLC and PUC. He called for unity within the community and warned against divisive tendencies.

The event, presided over by Azeez Baikampadi, featured the felicitation of Dr. UT Ifikhar Ali Farid, honorary president of the Mahasabha. Highlights included the launch of the Mahasabha’s website by Kanachuru Monu and the inauguration of an IAS-IPS coaching programme by Sheikhabba Karnire to empower Beary youth.
