Mangaluru: In response to Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s recent comments, MLA Dr. Y. Bharat Shetty has voiced his disapproval, stating that the DCM appears exhausted by the ongoing developments but should not make statements that could be interpreted as disrespecting the district.
Dr. Shetty clarified that questioning administrative failures should not be misconstrued as an insult to Dakshina Kannada. He emphasized the need for constructive dialogue rather than blame games.
Meanwhile, KPCC General Secretary Padmaraj R. Poojary called on BJP legislators to work collaboratively with the state government in ensuring Karnataka receives its rightful tax share from the Centre. He stressed that political rivalry should not come in the way of financial justice and development.
Padmaraj also issued a stern appeal to the younger generation, urging them to refrain from sharing provocative or inflammatory posts on social media platforms. He warned that such content not only damages social harmony but also has the potential to ruin both individual futures and family lives.
As political tempers rise, both sides appear determined to shape the narrative ahead of upcoming public and legislative engagements. Leaders on both ends are appealing for unity but are also holding each other accountable for governance and peace.
