The department of Neuroscience Technology and Cardiovascular Technology, Yenepoya School of Allied Health Sciences conducted a Walkathon on 26 October 2024 from the Yenepoya Medical College Hospital main gate to Deralakatte (Atithi Satkaar) with an aim to spread awareness on stroke.
The departments also conducted a program on the occasion of World Stroke Day on 30.10.2024. The program on the occasion of World Stroke Day started with the 2023 batch NST student’s introduction followed by the Invocation and Welcome address by 2023 batch Cardiovascular Technology student.
The presidential address was delivered by the Presiding Officer Dr. B H Sripathi Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) followed by the speech by the Chief Guest Dr. Salma Suhana, MBBS, MD, DM, Associate Professor Stage I, Yenepoya Medical College.
2022 batch students presented on the topic ‘Combating Stroke Latest Research and Technological Advancements’ and followed by the Poster competition, judged by the Chief Guest Dr. Salma Suhana. Reasource person Mr. Salman Sabir delivered a guest talk on the Management of Stroke. The event ended with a vote of thanks by the 2023 batch Neuroscience Technology students.
