Mangaluru: Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Naringana, affiliated with Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), held its Samavartana–2026 graduation ceremony at the university’s Yendurance Zone on Tuesday.

A total of 94 students from the 2020 batch who successfully completed the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme were formally conferred their degrees during the ceremony.

Dr M. B. Puranik attends as chief guest

Dr M. B. Puranik, Co-founder and President of Sharada Group of Institutions, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest, while Dr Ashwini Dath R., Registrar, Yenepoya University, was present as the Guest of Honour.

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Dr M. B. Puranik and Dr Ashwini Dath R.

Addressing the graduating students, Dr Puranik congratulated them on successfully completing their BAMS programme. He also highlighted the importance of ethical values as they begin their professional careers.

Dr Puranik subsequently conferred the degrees upon the graduating students.

The 94 graduates who were admitted to the 2020 batch successfully completed their BAMS programme and received their degrees at the Samavartana–2026 ceremony.

The graduation marked an important milestone in the students’ academic journey as they move towards their professional careers in Ayurveda.

The ceremony was presided over by Dr Gururaj H., Principal and Medical Superintendent of Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital.

Parents and faculty join graduation ceremony

The programme was attended by a large gathering comprising teaching and non-teaching staff, graduating students and their parents.

The presence of parents and members of the college community added significance to the occasion as the students formally completed their undergraduate education.

The Samavartana–2026 ceremony celebrated the academic achievement of the graduating batch while also marking the beginning of their journey as trained professionals in the field of Ayurveda.

The institution congratulated the 94 graduates as they embark on the next phase of their professional careers, carrying forward the knowledge and values acquired during their BAMS education.
