Young Girl Assaulted by Gang Outside City Hotel, Inaction Sparks Outrage

On August 25, a distressing incident unfolded near a private hotel in the city, involving a young girl who was reportedly harassed and assaulted by a gang of youths. The victim had visited the hotel with a close friend, and while using the washroom, she encountered a young man in the women’s restroom. Upon confronting him, she was subjected to indecent behavior from a group of youths. Despite raising the issue with the hotel staff, the group left without facing any consequences.

As the girl and her driver tried to leave the hotel premises, they found their car blocked by a biker in the parking lot. A minor collision occurred when the car was reversed, leading to a heated argument. Around 20 youths gathered at the scene, escalating the situation by harassing and assaulting the girl. The gang also reportedly threatened her life during the altercation.

The girl promptly lodged a complaint with the Barke police on the same day, but no action has been taken even after four days. Compounding the issue, the hotel’s negligence, including the absence of CCTV coverage in the parking area, has complicated the investigation. The victim suspects that the involvement of influential individuals might be obstructing police action and has shared her ordeal with the media to seek justice.
