Chintan, a 6th-grade student from Mani Balavikas English Medium School, achieved a remarkable victory in the district-level skating competition, clinching the first position in the 1000-meter race. The event, organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy, took place on September 12 at Francis Doris Skating City in Mangaluru. Competing in the under-14 category, Chintan showcased his exceptional talent and determination, outpacing his rivals to secure the top spot.
In addition to his triumph in the 1000-meter race, Chintan also delivered an impressive performance in the 500-meter event, where he earned second place. His consistent success across multiple categories demonstrates not only his skating prowess but also his dedication to the sport.
Hailing from Baltila, Chintan is the son of Lokesh and Rekha, who have been a constant source of support and encouragement for him. The young athlete’s achievements at the district level have earned him a well-deserved place in the upcoming state-level skating competition, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru.
