Young Woman Tragically Electrocuted by Live Wire in Gurupur

In a tragic incident on Friday morning, a young woman lost her life after coming into contact with a live wire that had snapped and was lying on the ground at Gurupur near Bajpe. The victim, identified as Ashwini Shetty (21), was a CA student from Mangaluru and the daughter of Harish Shetty of Kallakalambi.
The accident occurred when Harish Shetty left the cows to graze, and two pet dogs followed them. Ashwini went to fetch the dogs and inadvertently came into contact with the live wire. Despite being rushed to the hospital immediately, Ashwini’s life could not be saved.
The community mourns the loss of this young and promising student, whose life was cut short by such an unforeseen accident.
