Young Yakshagana artiste dies in tragic road accident

In a heartbreaking incident, 22-year-old Yakshagana artiste Praveeth Kumar lost his life in a road accident near Arkula Junction, Mangaluru, on December 31.
Praveeth, a Stree Veshadhari (performer of female roles) with the Sasihitlu Bhagavathi Yakshagana Mela and a first-year MSW student at Vittal First Grade College, was en route to a scheduled performance in Bajpe Kandavara Bailu when the accident occurred.
His bike skidded, and he was tragically run over by an ice-cream vehicle, leading to his untimely death on the spot.
The Mangaluru Traffic Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
