Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has funded key development projects through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Lok Sabha MP K. Brijesh Chowta handed over the CSR sanction letter to officials.

A new surgical ward, costing ₹10 crore, will be built in the Medicine Block of Wenlock Hospital, adding 132 beds to enhance healthcare facilities. Additionally, an astronomy gallery worth ₹5.43 crore will be developed at Pilikula Science Centre to promote scientific learning.

The event saw the presence of Mangalore South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, Additional District Collector Santosh Kumar, MRPL MD Mundkur Shyam Prasad Kamath, and other key officials.
