A Mumbai-based Instagrammer has issued an apology after posting a series of videos that insulted Karnataka and its people. Following backlash from social media users, he revealed that both Mumbai and Bengaluru police contacted him, explaining how his comments could provoke public outrage.

In his videos, the influencer claimed, “Karnataka is good for nothing,” questioning why Kannadigas hold their language and culture in high regard. He controversially suggested that if Kannadigas traveled to other states like Delhi or Mumbai, they wouldn’t survive unless they adapted. He compared the situation to being in another country and being reprimanded for not speaking the local language.

After his videos went viral, viewers demanded action from Bengaluru police and an official apology. The backlash intensified when he continued to assert that he would not stop making such content.

However, he quickly reversed his stance, acknowledging the negative impact of his videos. In his apology, he expressed regret for offending Kannadigas and emphasized the importance of being sensitive on social media. He thanked the police for their intervention and vowed to focus on creating humorous content without crossing sensitive lines in the future.
