36-year-old man murdered by cousins over old rivalry

Mysuru: A 36-year-old man was murdered by his cousins at Ring Road near Parasayyanahundi here on Saturday. After committing the murder the accused duo surrendered before Vidyaranyapuram Police.

The deceased has been identified as Nataraj, a tractor driver and a resident of Hommaragalli in Mysuru taluk while the two accused, who surrendered before Police, have been identified as Siddu and Siddappaji, both residents of Hommaragalli.

According to Police, the accused committed crime over old rivalry. On Saturday morning, the duo who also happens to be from the same village followed the deceased in an autorickshaw while he was driving tractor. At a secluded place, the duo stopped Natraj and attacked with boulders. Due to severe head injuries, Natraj died on the spot while the alleged accused surrendered before Vidyaranyapuram Police.

Soon after receiving information KR Sub Division ACP C Malik along with Vidyaranyapuram Police Station Inspector Raghu visited the spot and made arrangements to shift the body to MMC and RI for post mortem.

Vidyaranyapuram Police have registered a case and are further investigating.
