Mysuru: Renowned film and theatre actor Om Puri will inaugurate a weeklong International Drama Festival on January 13 here.
Releasing the posters of the festival, Director of the Department of Kannada and Culture Dayanand revealed, “Around 18 plays will be exhibited in four different auditoriums of Rangayana-Bhoomigeetha,Vanaranga, Kalamandira and Kiruranga Mandira between January 13 and18.”
Sekkuva (Sinhalese play by Sri Lankan troupe), Such is life (English play from Poland), Ameena Sundari (Bangladesh), Media (London), Tumhara Vincent (Hindi play by Hyderabad troupe), Ishq Malangi (Urdu play from Jammu and Kashmir), Ghinua (Oriya), Ab Aur Nahin (Hindi play from Sikkim) Madhyama Vyagoga (Sanskrit play by Kerala troupe), Har Singhar (Hindi play by Patna troupe) and Charithra Pusthakatillekku Oredu (Malayalam play by Kerala troupe) are among the 18 plays listed for the drama festival including four Kannada Plays.
