Five people, including a child being transported for advanced medical treatment, were injured when an ambulance collided with a container truck on the Mani-Mysuru State Highway at Kumbra on Monday evening. The accident took place near Kumbra Markazal Huda Women’s College. Jayaprakash was driving the ambulance, which was heading to Mangaluru with the child and four others onboard. Meanwhile, the container truck was traveling from Puttur to Madikeri.
Another ambulance was called to transport the injured to the hospital. The collision occurred when the truck driver attempted to overtake a JCB and hit the ambulance. Both vehicles sustained damage, and traffic on the highway was disrupted for a while. The Sampya police quickly responded to the scene to manage traffic and clear the road.
